Stuff a little catnip in the smaller one and give the cat a "Happy Midsummers gift"

Put cat nip in them and they are cat toys....in fact, that is kind of awesome now that I think about it some more.
Besides... you LOVED stuffed animals. You hated getting rid of almost all of them when the doctor suggested it to keep down the dust in your bedroom.
